My Biography and Experience
I was born in late 80's in former Czechoslovakia. Yes - years when communists still ruled the country. However what an infant knows about politics or about the country where he was born in? Such a baby hardly knows how to call his favourite toys, or likely what is the name of the car by which his family go to a cottage every Friday afternoon. Frankly speaking, it was good times and I didn't want to change the world yet. :-)
However everything has to finish one day. And the end of childhood ignorance was September 1st, 1994 - the first day of school. I officialy joined the education system and stayed in schools for unbelievable 18 years. If you are wondering if people who finish their Masters are much cleverer than the others, I will tell you something....No, they are not! :-)
The fact that someone can memorize a load of nonsense doesn't mean that such a guy is able to earn lots of money or find best jobs on the market. Don't get me wrong, but the whole education system should be changed in a way that it should identify strengths of every person and develop them. The basic premise is that not everyone is equal. One size doesn't fit all....
Ok, that was a bit of philosophy. You can always reach out to me and we can discuss it more. But for now, let's move on!
...So once I finished the formal education - a primary school, I signed up (or likely I was signed up by parents) to a high school of Engineering in Geodesy and spent there four years. Definitely interesting four years, nevertheless I knew that I don't want to be a land surveyor for the rest of my life. I was 18, and to be honest, I finally could decide which way to go - find a job which I don't like or continue studying at an university of my own preference? I chose the second option - the best one.
I graduated from the University of Economics in Prague (Informatics and Statistics), met my future wife and also found a job in the IT industry that I always wanted to work in.
One could think that this is the end of the story and there is only bright future ahead of me. I wish I was right, however who knows what happens in a few years from now?....
To be continued :-).
